Outsiders!?! Did you stop in Tulsa to see the admiral twin the actual drive in from the outsiders or were you too busy filming the golden driller? 😝

I use to live 2 blocks away from that Stake n' Shake! Funny story about that Stake n' Shake.. My ex-girlfriend was friends with a guy that worked there back when he was young. TV and movie star John Goodman would often order food from the Stake n' Shake back when they offered drive up ordering. Goodman would often stop by at night and order from the outside window. The young guy would always mess up Goodman's order. Like every single time. Well one night, Goodman orders his food. He takes his food to his vehicle. Gets in his vehicle. Goodman gets out of his vehicle with the food and storms up to the order window. He starts hitting the palms of his hands against the glass window and yelling "YOU F—-KED UP MY ORDER AGAIN!".
Imagine being inside that Stake n' Shake, eating your food or whatever and suddenly John Goodman out of no where is outside banging on the glass and yelling. Hilarious.

The great thing about Steak and Shake is that they are still the same after all these years, unlike Dennys.

Anyone know the location of the retro rest area they stopped at? We were just in that area in January and didn't see it or just drove right by with out noticing. We drove by Uranus also. Should have stopped. That place looks tight. We were pulling a camper. Probably would have been a tight fit to get in.

Steak & Shake is my favorite burger chain…. love those burgers and shakes, and we don't have them here in Minnesota, so I eat them whenever I travel…. which isn't often enough. You lucky dogs !

I’m surprised you didn’t stop in Joplin since it is one of the towns listed in the famous Route 66 song. I am happy to see these videos. The husband and I traveled the Route for our honeymoon. We made it just on the east side of Arizona (starting from Webb City, Mo where we lived) before we had to turn back. We have loved seeing all of the same sights in your videos!!

We've been to Precious Moments a few times. It is one of the most tranquil
