We are trying to become big so that we can find and explore Strange Places across the United States, and the world.

About Max Power: Max Power is the host of the web series, “Strange Places.” Max was interested in exploring abandoned places since he was four, however, his parents kept him on a short leash. He began to get into urban exploring at his high school, where he was constantly exploring the little known parts of his school with his best friend, “Jukes.” Max’s senior year of high school, he made several expeditions to a tunnel in Hinsdale, IL. In 2015, Max decided to begin the web series, “Strange Places,” to practice his filmmaking skills. He never thought that his series would blow-up like it has.

Max intends on working on the series until he is able to begin producing/directing his own films and eventually get his start in Hollywood.

Check out Strange Places videos: Hinsdale Tunnel (better than the FaZe rug tunnel), the Abandoned Joliet Military Arsenal (which manufactured TNT, bullets, and munitions during world war two), ruins of an abandoned farm in the woods, the haunted Bachelor Grove Cemetery, a massive abandoned fire-damaged mansion, abandoned nuclear cold-war bunkers in Galena, Illinois, the most haunted house in America, abandoned Katherine’s crossing haunted house, and the abandoned cement plant in Ogelsby.

Wtf? I heard this place was immensely tripped with cameras and motion detectors. Is it not any more or was that a scare article? Funny prank idea though! Awesome video, keep up the good work!

I absolutely remember when it was a water slide. It was a neat place. Kiddie Kingdom was right across 83.

    How did you learn photography?

Also, I've found an abandoned arsenal east of moline. (Not going to say where for obvious reasons) I've been creating a google maps list if all abandoned places ie. Farms, factories, buildings, and etc. If you are interested I'll be glad to share it with you. Its mostly in NW Illinois since that's where I live.

Oh wow, the water park. (I'm older than I look.) I remember going to this water park. The ride down the huge two concrete slides was crazy. One year, they painted the inside of the slides with sand paint. They gave you these little pads to ride down on, but all our elbow, hands, knees arms and feet were all cut up by the sand paint. I actually called to complain. The next year they used smooth paint and it was a much smoother ride. I don't remember the kiddie pool or the tubes, though. The place was always ridiculously crowded in the summer and it would take you several minutes to walk up the wooden stairs to the top of Mount Trashmore where the top of the two concrete slides started.

Kids would always try to start a clog by hanging onto the sides and holding back the water. I remember some little kids got hurt when they ran into the clog of pre-teen boys. That's not why they closed it, though. The Go-Karts are still there (as it the WalMart EW!) but I have no idea why they closed the water park.

There were also buildings to let you in, changing rooms for men and women and I seem to remember a snack bar. It was a long time ago.

I live only a few miles from there. I was probably coming home or going to see patients when you guys were there. I had a patient south of there not long ago.

My question: What college do you attend? (If that's too personal, no worries.)

    Good job, Max.
