You not always get an additional price. I had a worst experience, the cashier told me 'its already on markdown, what do you want"

I found a dark brown Prada shoulder bag there years ago. The friend who was with me had just paid almost $4,000 for one like it (except in another color) at the Prada boutique & was shocked. The 👜 was priced $1200 at TJ Maxx. Was offered additional 10% off to open a store 💳. Best deal ever! Also found a delicate silver Gucci bracelet style watch. Still love ❤️ both items❣️

The stores only get trashed merchandise due to customers acting like tornados coming through

first off, no discount is ever given for stains or if it’s dirty. only rips! and also best time to shop is during the week mid day not the morning, because in the morning theyre barely pushing merchandise to the floor and by mid day most of the stuff is there.

As a former tj maxx employee, if something is marked down already and you ask for it to be marked down again for a "damage" we will always say that's why its already marked down. And when you ask for us to look in the back and see if we have something in stock, we are TRAINED TO LIE and say everything that is out Is all we have and if we eventually say we will go check, its a lie. And the store treats employees like criminals and shit. The only good thing is the pay which in California starting pay is $14/hr. But the management is extremely controlling, rude, and bossy, and even discriminating at times

I have noticed that most often the suggested retail price is way lower than what the price actually was at a full price retailer

True that tjmaxx gets shipments almost every day of the week but that doesn’t mean everything is going to be out right away. It takes a few days before all of the items can get processed and put out. I work at a Tjmaxx and so many people will bring up an item and ask for a mark down and I can tell you it’s not 10-20% they can take of $0.99. And it’s really up to the head cashier or the manager if they will do it or not. Don’t think just because something has a scratch that they will necessarily give you a mark down. Also please don’t get mad at employees when the que line takes forever. The store I work at is constantly understaffed or employees are busy so don’t get mad. We’re only human and things happen. Edit: also not every store has the purple tagged runway items.

The one in my area do not cater to those who wear over a size 11 and all big name brand items are seconds… so no one hardly shops there.
