Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Construction Update | Spyglass Grill, Gondola Update & More!

In today’s video we head back out to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to check on the construction that has been going on there for the new CenterTown area as well as Disney’s Riviera DVC Resort and Disney’s Skyliner gondola system. This is an update to a previous video we filmed that was a full tour of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. That video can be found here: We noticed there was a lot of construction noise all over the resort from the time we stepped foot off the bus. The Riviera Resort construction was visible from all areas of the Caribbean Beach resort and the noises could be heard everywhere as well. We also check in on the Skyliner construction and found workers working on the transfer station as well as the roller poles. We also had a chance to check out the all new Spyglass Grill where we ordered some delicious chicken and beef tacos! If it were up to me, I would try to stay at a different Disney resort until the construction is done at Caribbean Beach Resort. Stay tuned for another video tomorrow!

I stayed at this resort in the summer of 2017, and there was still construction at that time, however, each room received $75 per night stayed there so that's a plus at staying at this resort during construction!

A feller cannot overemphasize the calming effect of a well-made plate of tacos.

This looks to be the resort my family and I are gonna be forced to stay at this time around to go to Disney. Sucks, but in reality it's only a place to sleep, and most memories will be from the parks anyways

Yes Tim you are correct in the respect of perks for staying here while construction takes place. Before we arrived in September of last year we were offered the option to locate to a different hotel or the option of £50 per day off the price of the vacation which of course we took (£700 in total). When we arrived not only did we receive a gift card of $200 we were then shocked and amazed to be given another gift card which had a total of $1,025 on it. So basically we had a free Disney holiday. As for the construction work we never really noticed it as we were in the parks everyday .

I just stayed at one of the pirate rooms in Trinidad south a couple weeks ago and I rarely heard construction noise. I could’ve just gotten lucky but I would say that’s the best area to stay currently!

There is no discount for staying here! We called to ask about it for our upcoming trip but were told there are no special rates or offers. Btw, love watching y’all!

It's a bit sad that they are building the Riviera resort right on top of Caribbean Beach… We stayed our first time back in 2016 and whilst the breakfast offering wasn't the greatest I really enjoyed the view walking from Aruba, over Caribbean Cay on the lake to Old Port Royale. Oh well 😕

I've stayed there a few times over the years. Last summer was the last time I was there. They had started construction it wasn't to noisy then but they weren't driving piles either. I noticed it was a pain to get buses back from the parks. We waited over a hour for a bus back from Epcot in the afternoon, fellow resort guest said they had the same issues. I don't know if it was just a lapse in scheduling for several of the eight days we stayed or what but we have never had trouble getting back before. Keep up the good work on your videos, hope to catch you there sometime!
